Platte River Half-Marathon & Buckhorn Exchange Relay

8th Annual Platte River Half

Come run and see why the Platte River Half Marathon was named Colorado's best half marathon in 2009 by Colorado Runner Magazine.

Run 2 miles through downtown Littleton, enter the paved Platte River Trail to run 10 miles north to 8th Ave., exit the trail to run 1 mile to the Buckhorn Exchange Restaurant. Each runner receives a long sleeve Brooks tech shirt, lunch at the finish compliments of the Buckhorn Exchange and a ticket on the RTD Light Rail back to Downtown Littleton. Awards are gift certificates to the Buckhorn Exchange and Runner's Roost. The three person relay consists of 2 - 5 mile legs and a 3.1 mile leg.

-All awards will be mailed to overall open and master's and age group winners within the next week.

-We are already looking forward to next year's race.  The specific date has not yet been set but will most likely be either April 3rd or April 10th, 2011.  We will look into adjusting the course and adding wave starts to accomodate more participants.

-If you enjoyed the race, please consider joining us at our other event, the Aetna Park to Park 10 Miler on Labor Day, September 6th, 2010.  This race runs from Denver's City Park to Washington Park.  Race details are located at www.parktopark10miler.com

Expo and Packet Pick-Up Information

Runners Roost located at 1685 South Colorado Boulevard in Denver will host the expo and packet pick-up Saturday, April 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Packet pick-up with your bib number, timing chip, race t-shirt and final race instructions will be available for participants that registered via Active.com or by mail. All participants that pick-up their race packets during the expo will be eligible to win a "head to toe" running package from the Runners Roost.  A male and female winner will be announced on race day.

Last minute packet pick-up will be available from 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. at the Arapahoe Community College Art and Design Center located on the southwest corner of Prince St. and Alamo Ave. in Downtown Littleton.

All runners need to pick-up their timing chip at either the expo or on race day morning at the Arapahoe Community College Art and Design Center.
